Morphine is a 90s Boston-based band that created an unusual yet fascinating sound. They use traditional rock arrangements with jazz and blues elements and low-laid-back vocals. This song is one of my personal favorites from the Cure For Pain album. Like their typical sound, this tune is very bass-driven and has almost a swing feel in the percussion. The lyrics of this song can be argued whether or not they are about drugs, women, or the addiction to public attention. Songwriter, Mark Sandman, is a musical genius nonetheless. Have fun checking out this one!
